By accessing or using the Emancipation Impact Network (“EIN,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) website, forms, events, and services (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Who We Are

Emancipation Impact Network is a U.S.-based nonprofit initiative building community support for people impacted by incarceration — including our Peer Pal program.

Eligibility

Our Services are intended for individuals 13 years and older. If you are under 13, you may not use the Services.

Use of Services

You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Post or transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content
  • Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the Services

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services for violations of these Terms.

Program Participation (Including Peer Pal)

Participation in programs such as Peer Pal is voluntary and subject to additional guidelines provided during registration. You agree to:

  • Communicate respectfully and avoid sharing another person’s private information without permission
  • Avoid sending sensitive personal details unless requested for program purposes
  • Comply with all program safety guidelines

We may monitor communications for safety and compliance.

Donations, Grants, and Fiscal Sponsorship Contributions

If you make a donation or contribution, you agree to provide accurate payment information. All transactions are processed by our payment processor; EIN does not store full payment card details.

Intellectual Property

All content, materials, and designs on the Services are owned by or licensed to EIN and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. You may not use our content without prior written permission.

Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EIN and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to your use of the Services.
